The UGent administration decided to renovate the former Chevron building for the benefit of departments EA17: Applied Physics; EA08: Electrical Energy, Metals, Mechanical Constructions & Systems and EA11: Materials, Textiles & Chemical Process Engineering. Meanwhile, the former ‘Chevron’ is being transformed and renamed ‘Bismut’.

Real estate developer Alides and Flemish investment company PMV have obtained the final, executable permit for the realisation of the AI Campus Hub in a UGent science park: Campus Ardoyen, Tech Lane Ghent Science Park in Ghent- Zwijnaarde. This means construction work will officially start in March. The AI Campus Hub will further Flanders’ position as a region excelling in AI, deep-tech and semiconductor photonics.

The central open-air meeting place on Campus Ardoyen is accessible. Go have a look and enjoy the peace and quiet at the pond, but please give the plants some time to grow: Please stay on the paths for a while.
