On Thursday 28 September 2023, the Mobi Day is planned at our technology park.
This day will focus on traffic safety on the park and alternative transport, more specifically cycling. In cooperation with Ardoyen vzw and UGent, we aim to make this day an unforgettable experience. All activities will take place near the iGent building (no. 126).
The programme of the Mobi Day is as follows:
Between 7.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m., you can enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea with delicious sweet breakfast and fresh fruit, offered by the mobile coffee bar 'Bean me up'. With this we want to honour all Tech Lane employees who leave the car at home to come to work.
From 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., De Fietsambassade Gent offers the opportunity to have your bike marked - for free - with a sticker bearing your national registration number. This helps prevent bicycle theft. Also, your bicycle tyres can be inflated and the chain lubricated. These initiatives are part of the 'Voor iets op de fiets' campaign, paid for with the grant from the City of Ghent's neighbourhood budget.
From 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the following activities will be organised:
• Bike Republic will present a fleet of about 15 electric bikes and speed pedelecs, which you will be able to test extensively.
• There is an opportunity to sign up for a presentation by Bike Republic on various options when buying/leasing a bike.
• As a highlight, you can win a voucher of 2,650 euros (incl. VAT) at Bike Republic for the purchase of a bike via a draw, and 5 vouchers of 100 euros each for bike accessories will also be raffled off.
The draw will take place at 1 p.m. sharp. Conditions to participate in the draw are as follows:
- Register in advance via the link below
- Being a Tech Lane employee on Tech Lane/ campus Ardoyen
- Be in possession of a numbered lottery ticket provided on site by the organisers
- Be physically present during the draw
During the event, the food truck Sanoek will be present, serving delicious dishes of Thai that you can order. To avoid food waste, we ask you to order in advance.
And as if that is not enough, free ice creams will also be handed out.
